Govt monitoring fuel prices in international market to ease impacts in Mozambique

The Mozambican government has said it will continue to monitor fuel prices in the international market, with a view to lessening any possible impact on economic activity in the country.
The guarantee was given in Maputo on Wednesday 19th April by the national director of Hydrocarbons and Fuels at the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy, Moisés Paulino, at a press conference aimed at addressing the recently announced reduction in oil production levels by Saudi Arabia and other OPEC+ oil producers.
At the domestic level, the executive says it is working on revising the decree on the marking of fuel prices as a way of safeguarding the national economy and the final consumer from the possible effects of any price increase in Mozambique.
